Encouraging open and honest talk about periods

Hopping Hill Primary School

On 16th October, our betty bus was in Northampton visiting Hopping Hill Primary School.

The facilitators had a great time at this school and the girls were all very excited and keen to take part.

The students here had great critical thinking skills and interesting ideas and the boys responded so well to the empathy part of the workshop.

The teachers enjoyed the bus experience:

"It was a very informative session in a creative setting."

"It's been really great to see the boys have a lesson too, and hear their ideas. It's nice that they can have an appreciation of what the girls in their class might go through."

The students loved the day:

"Thank you for teaching me and all the others all about periods. I feel more safe to tell people that I have periods."

"I loved the experience on the Betty Bus. It tells me to love myself"
