Encouraging open and honest talk about periods

Meet the Facilitator: Josh

You've probably all heard about our betty buses, right? Our pink and yellow beauties are travelling around the country encouraging young boys and girls everywhere to be more open and honest about that time of the month. We thought you'd want to meet some of our fabulous betty ambassadors who are leading the way in encouraging those conversations.

This week we'd like to introduce you to Josh!

Josh is a bilingual Welsh actor, singer and dancer who originates from Cardiff. With a passion for the arts, Josh knew he’d want to become an actor from a very young age, and turned his hand to acting for Film and TV.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I have an obsession for Greek and Roman Mythology.

What is your favourite thing about the betty bus?

I couldn't possibly decide, it’s all so great!…………...THE BALL PIT!!

Why do you think the betty bus is so important?

I think it's so important because I believe it’s important for girls to have a safe space to learn about their bodies and what they shall be going through in the near future. In addition to this, I believe it’s important for the boys to understand what their peers are going through, and not only teach them how to approach girls who might not be feeling very well, but also attempt to help them be kinder humans going forward.

Your favourite moment of the tour so far?

Getting into discussions whether the boys’ choice of superheroes (during one of the games) are actually superheroes or not. I could debate until the cows come home, but ultimately my word is final ;)
