1. What is betty for schools?

betty for schools is an exciting new programme which wants to create a generation of boys and girls who are comfortable talking about periods. The digital resources are film-led with a mix of animations, quizzes and interactive activities. The betty bus also starts touring the UK in March 2017, visiting both primary schools and secondary schools and using a mix of faciltator-led activities and Aurasma technology to further the betty for schools learning. 2. Who are the resources for?

We have two versions of the digital resources, for ages 8-11 and 11-12. All resources have been created for both boys and girls.

3. Who created the betty for schools programme?

The betty for schools programme has been created by betty, together with education experts and young people, to create a generation of girls and boys who are truly at ease talking about periods. It encourages open, respectful and honest conversation about periods and the way it affects girls.

4. How do I access the resources?

All resources are available free of charge - you can register here to access them.

5. How do I book the betty bus?

You can request a visit from the betty bus using our simple booking form here. Once you have completed the form with your school details, a member of the betty for schools team will contact you to confirm your booking.

6. Is the betty for schools programme approved by any association?

Yes! The betty for school online resources are fully accredited by the PSHE Association.

7. Help! I can’t login to access the resources?

If you can’t log in, don’t worry. You can always reset your password. If your email address is recognised in the database you will receive a reset password email. Simply click the link on the email and enter a new password. If you don’t receive an email, you probably haven’t registered. You can register here.

8. I can't seem to register to the website?

First of all, check you have entered your details into all the mandatory fields (indicated by asterisk*) If it says your email address is already in use, try and reset your password here. If it is still not working, take a screenshot and let us know what browser you’re using and email [email protected] and we’ll investigate!

9. I can’t download the accompanying teacher notes, student booklet or parent letter?

If you can’t download the resources (parent/carer letter, teacher delivery notes or student follow-up booklet), check to see if you have an active pop-up blocker. If you still can’t download a resource, take a screenshot, let us know your browser and email [email protected] and we’ll investigate!

10. The interactives won’t work/the videos won’t play

Try playing the interactives in an incognito browser (Ctrl+Shift+N). If not, you could try a different browser. If you’re still having trouble, take a screenshot, let us know your device/browser and email us at [email protected] so we can investigate! Please bear in mind, our interactive lessons are not supported on tablet or mobile at present.

11. Help, I can’t find my school when I search the postcode to register!

No need to worry, simply register using our manual form here.

12. My school details are wrong when I register via postcode look up

Oops we may need to update them – help us out and let us know by emailing [email protected].

13. I’ve recently moved schools, do I need to re-register?

You don’t have to, but it does help to re-register under your new school so we get a good idea about which schools are currently using betty for schools in their period lessons.

14. I’ve got a question about the betty bus, how do I get in touch?
